Let me introduce you to two of that happiest people on the planet who happened to have just had a beauty of a wedding at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane farm this summer! They are a couple that loves adventure, the outdoors and board games. They are sweet, thoughtful but their extreme inability to not smile or laugh out loud constantly might just be their shiniest traits of all. They look at each other and smile. They think about each other and smile. As a photographer who’s goal is to show personality and the beauty of the connection between two people, Andrea and Eric made my mission pretty easy. Just be there, joke around, don’t take things too seriously and then lay on shutter as they laugh at/with each other uncontrollably!
So, that’s them. Now, let’s talk about their wedding and how uniquely them it was. We had a super fun morning goofing around as all the prep was going on. We chatted and joked and I made photos when the time was right. When the smiles were high, or in Andrea’s case, when she’d keep sticking her tongue out at me. Love that! We’re all just a bunch of goofballs and we need to let it out more often. Once the preps were fully tackled, we headed down the road for the nice little ceremony where the serious stuff was to happen. The wedding, right! In between emotional readings and romantic glances at each other on the alter, they’d peek over at me every so often and simultaneously give me a silly face. Perfect! From there, it was off to Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm for the reception. I walk into the hall and the first thing I see is a Lego cake. Again, perfect! But what else was present was an amazing farm full of perfect natural settings for their photos. For a couple who loves nature and adventure, I can’t think of a better place. We walked around and made photos among big trees and open fields as the sun set behind us. On to the reception where we were treated to good food, goofy company (and I mean that in the best way!), funny and heartfelt speeches and wrapping it all up with a killer first dance under the stars and a dance floor full of fun people.
Before scrolling through this fun wedding story, let me shout out to the other vendors who helped bring this awesome day together. The amazing florals were done by Mill Street Florist, Hair by Beautigo Mobile, Make-up from Natalie Peachy, Cake by Top of the Hill Bakery and entertainment from Quality Entertainment. Oh and one last thing, the super cool custom Converse shoes the gromsmen had 🙂
