Prince Edward County Wedding | Sarah + Andrew

From the moment I arrived on site for Sarah and Andrew’s Prince Edward County Wedding at Fields On West Lake it was smiles. Big, toothy, full on smiles! Laughter. Smiles and this amazing feeling of being surround but really fun people. And, not just the bride and groom either, the guests were in full fun mode too! So that was fun and the images definitely tell that story.

Alright, so of course it was awesome being surrounded by such happy people all day, but let’s talk about this Fields on West Lake place! It is definitely one of the most beautiful venues in Prince Edward County and has so much going for it. The farmhouse for prep, the amazing barn for the reception and of course the breathtaking property that surrounds it. Maybe that’s what garnered so many smiles all day? Nah, they were just pumped about the wedding and the amazing couple, but the place can’t hurt right! But more about the grounds, as someone who likes to shoot in a natural environment, this place is 100% in my wheelhouse. Everywhere I looked as we did the portrait session, I got excited about making the next shot. Then, the sun set. Oh that beautiful ball of fire, falling towards the horizon! It’s not always possible to duck away from the reception for sunset photos, but when it’s possible, you know it’s happening! We snuck out for a few minutes between speeches and snagged some sunset shots and then got right back to the party. Oh yeah!

Fun day. Great light. Lots of smiling and laughing. That’s pretty much the best case scenario but of course, it got better. A newer addition to this venue is the bar in the basement of the barn. Guests get the chance to mingle over some cocktails and enjoy the cool atmosphere of the exposed beams and cool golden light from the retro lighting while waiting for dinner to be ready. But then dinner was ready and it was time to head upstairs into the next gorgeous space! What happened next was more laughter, great speeches, excellent food and then dance, dance, dance. Good times!
