Love Wins in Downtown YGK | Paul + Brian

Oh my dearest Kingston, how lovely you are! Our vibrant, historic and friendly city has so much going for it and I’m continually stoked and re-stoked that I get to call this place home. It’s a place where small businesses thrive, artists work together and a friendly hello from a stranger is never too far away. You know what else? Love wins in downtown Kingston! Well, not just downtown, but it was this very space that after years of visiting from their native Toronto, finally convinced Paul and Brian to move here permanently. They’ve now been here for many years and are as proud as I am to live in the limestone city.

So, when it came to choosing a place for their engagement photos, which we decided should just be called a couples session because they’ve been together for so long, it made sense to go back to where their love affair with Kingston started, downtown. We met up for a coffee date at Sipps, then strolled the streets and waterfront as the sun set behind buildings. We hit up some landmarks that they really enjoy like City Hall, The Prince George Hotel and of course the lakefront! They trusted my zany artistic vision and we made some beauty images together that I’m really excited to share with you now.

The wedding is happening in a couple of weeks at the Newlands Pavillion and Kingston Yacht Club, so stay tuned for that! It’ll be an afternoon with two dudes in suits surrounded by their closest friends and family. I’ve also been promised hot tubing will be involved, so it should be a pretty fun day!
